I've arranged to pick it up, probably on Saturday.
Unfinished.

Rode it - for the 3rd time this year. Some things are apparent.
1. Seat is still too hard.
2. Front end too harsh
3. It's still dead easy to ride.
4. Round brake discs are good.
5. Round tyre is also good.
6. I'd forgotten how fecking quick it is!
I am definitely NOT bike fit - only done 200 miles in this year ____________________ Module 1 and 2 passed - October 2014. Happy owner of a 2017 Z1000SX, ex owner of a YBR125 / CB500 / VFR800. |

I rescued it from the stupid idiot garage it was in.
Then I fucking well rode the tits off it.
Still needs some sort of tweaking of the indicator wiring - and a new drive belt.
But I can currently menace all and sundry once again.
Woot.

Gave the viffer a good de-cobwebbing. Old girl's got used to the 4 mile commute to work, so we popped over the border to remind her that she can still move for an old girl.
Got home, and fettled what I could on the 125 while waiting for other parts.
Oil change, Oil strainer clean and a new filter. and it needed it. Was fucking manky.

VHT'd the exhaust. It's solid enough and came out without a fight, but it'll last longer like this.

I was going to change the pads, but given the state of the calipers and discs they'll wait until new ones arrive.

Gave it a wash. Other half approves of it. We may yet get her on 2 wheels.

Attacked some of the many jobs on the 125 today. A previous owner was a total cock gobbler and bodged the shit out of everything. Replacement chain and sprockets were all JT.
Removed the hilariously fucked rear sprocket. Not pictured are the lugs that have been cut down and mangled nuts and retaining washers. Front sprocket was "holyshitwhattheactualfuck" tight, but now replaced.

Sparkplug was A) Rusty, B) Handtight, and C) Not the correct one D) Sooty as all fuck. Right is the removed one, left is the correct spec one.

I also had hoses made up from the hardline remains for the GSX.

Connecting the twins to TuneEcu, via the OBD2s.
Copied the map (20261) from ST2 over to ST1 in the hope it would eliminate the snatchy throttle. It didn't.
Also, tried to get to grips with and completely understand TuneEcu so i could start tweaking the map for when the SP Engineering cans go on ST1. I didn't.

Have you tried turning off O2 sensors?
My RC8 was smooth as butter with them turned off but the fuel economy is horrendous. ____________________

Hand painted the rocker cover of te FZ with smoothrite silver. Rubbishy stuff too viscous and leaves brushmarks everywhere ____________________ Now: A100, GT250A, XJ598, FZ750
