He didn't actually piss on the memorial, just near it. But it's a powerful image - and of course it sells papers and net-clicks.

He was done for a public decency charge as anyone could be by pissing in the street.

Yes, but I very much doubt some drunk skunk from South Shields on a Saturday night pissing up against anything would get jail time.

Considering he handed himself in, plead guilty, etc.
Must be all that white priviledge.
Having said that, most of the people who pulled that other statue down were white as well.

It's almost like all this has very little to do with race......

I honestly don't understand . Who actually gives a fuck what someone did 100 years ago because maybe there great great great great great fucking grandad MAY have been a slave !!

Can't people just fuck off back to work already and stop spoiling the news with absaloute bollox no one gives a fuck .
