I use FB to keep in contact with friends and family, plus for 'groups' whenever something is being organised. The nonsense element largely passes me by, unless that is I want a bit of fun and a wind-up.

Dunno. Every Facebook 'friend' I have is someone I know in real life. Trouble is the older one gets, the fewer people one actually sees. I don't do Christmas cards, so I'm guessing the next time I see some of them, one of us will be in a suit and the other a box....
