Yeah as others have mentioned the school i spoke to can't lend any gear at the moment so would require purchasing... I'll need to call some shops and see what the scenario is re trying on helmets etc... as I understand it clothes shops aren't even letting people try on at the moment.. just bad timing all round

Just thought I'd look like a tit turning up to a CBT dressed like Barry Sheene

According to his oown hype he 'invented' the M/C back protector by taping a load of scratched visors together.... remind me... how many artificial joints he had in his hip?

You dont 'buy' safety; its bnot what you stick ON youe head its hoe you use what's IN it.. priorarise the learning and training and try NOT to rash ane have any need of artifiicial 'cradh-protection'...

Think/remember "No Crash.. no need Crash hat..."

See links in sig; for CBT, I wou.d spend less than 100 on dediated geat; a 'cheap', prokibably open face helmet wouy.d copst me around £30, to which I would add, if neededd a £20 water-pooof over-suit, and maybe, save the other £50 towards some stiurdy footwear, like work boots or dock-Martinbs, if there was nothing suitable in the wardrobe.

Beyond that.. well there's a whole lesspon on uyong gear on the CBT, and however mant teachers that should know whats more important, and where to buy... get your momoney's worth out of them...

Fond out IF you can ride.. and more impoirtant whether you LIKE it... get some learning from the deal and take it from there.

You an spenmd as much time and money pon thiis as you like.. whats important is that know hoe... and turning up to CBT all togged up in a my 1st M/C suit is a) likely to make teacher laugh b) wast a lot of money on questionable kit c) \ll be wasted if you dont carry on for whatever reason.

Take it as you go,. and remember, safety font come from what you wear, it comes fom NOT CRASHING! So try not to crash!

Be aware that a lot of schools are not suppling gear at the moment due to restrictions but some are offering good deals on full entry level kit when you book cbt or das with them. A school local to me is doing helmet, gloves, trousers and jacket for £250.

Well I think he'd have struggled to have had more than one in each hip, don't you? Though, AFAIK he died with his original hip joints still in place...

I believe most training centres have stopped loaning gear out due to restrictions. Many are offering deals on kit for new riders who has ok with them. One local to me is doing helmet, jacket, gloves and trousers for £250.
