HRC announced Bradl in place of Marquez for at least this weekend. Wonder how far he can finish in front of Alex

I don't there was any pressure from organisers or team managers.
I do think that Marquez may have had a good shot of cortisone before dong a few pressups and having his arm 'waggled' around as was mentioned by Neil Hodgson.

Your standard medical professional would have told Marc to not even attempt racing.

That bit where realisation hit; when he left the garage and got on the back of a scooter, his right arm was massively swollen.

The man is a fool, the Dorna doctors likewise. His team were the ones who should have reminded him he has nothing left to prove as regards dedication or number of championships and wins.

The man is also phenomenal, I selfishly want him to continue racing at full fitness and witness the future battles that are definitely incoming from the 'younger' riders.

This Sunday...Zero points for HRC?

Can't see Bradl doing much .. maybe Taka can yank one out of the bag and it's unlikely Alex will make it into the top 10 .... who knows. Will be fun to watch.

I do agree that Marquez should have just sat it out and gone to this round fresh but like i said, i don't think any of them are wired that way and from a spectator perspective, glad they aren't.

Not unlike TT Hutchy, when you saw what he did to his leg, most of us would struggle to want to walk again let alone want to get back on a bike AND be competitive.

At what point does this season get written off as just an opportunity for bike and rider development with no real prestige in winning the championship?

Whoever wins the championship will be the best.

Will history care if Rossi was allegedly getting 'bespoke' tyres during his good run of wins back in the day.
Same goes for all the technological and mechanical 'advancements' made to other bikes in other race series i.e the TT.
Or if Casey Stoner might actually be the most gifted racer there was?

Name in the record books is the important bit.

Zarco pole Laughing no chance of winning the race tho.

Honda were shit, but even so Rossi tenth. He has no chance of ever winning again, he should just retire.

My bet for the championship, yam will have a few races starting from the back and Marquez will claw back the points and win.

The circuit is proving to be tough on tyres and bumpy enough to surprise [a list of experienced riders].

Tough to call.

That was a superb race.

Maverick...what is going on? ditto factory Ducatis.

Zarco short-lap Laughing ...wrong decision by the stewards there.

HRC 1 point.

#93 ...rubbing hands together.

[edit] Should be factory HRC 1 point...but you know what I meant.

Zarco says he didn't think his long lap was anything special, but reckons that thrashing a Multistrada around dirty roundabouts every day at home helped him

Indeed, it's a top 3 you'd never have picked. Also think Zarco was badly done by but then watching him tear around that long loop on the dirty stuff without losing a place - two fingers back up to the stewards and that idiot Spencer.

I think the commentary was right - the old guard need retiring. Should be Stoner doing it or maybe Lorenzo - or maybe Dovi if he acts himself out of a job next year.

I know this, if we get to the point where races are won and lost based on stewards decisions and tyre choices then this will become as dull as F1 at which point i'll switch off.

Great race, the KTM's look like the real thing now, well done BB. Vinales isnt good enough to be on a works bike imho, too inconsistent, cant ride around problems. Dovi just looks to have no motivation and Ducati seem a bit lost with the 2020 bike. Dare I say it is more interesting without MM? but it also highlights how much HRC depend on him because the bike is a dog really.

Portimao will be a great circuit to end the season. Should have a new surface by then.
Doesn't have the best run-off areas though.

That was sickening.

First scan revealed no broken bones for Syahrin.

Sam Lowes frustrates me at times.

All the participants were incredibly fortuitous in both the "incidents" today!
AFAIK, no life threatening injuries, but both of those crashes could have been so much worse!
From what you can tell from the replays. Vinales ducked to avoid the flying bike and Rossi's fate was in the lap of the gods as the bike flew between him and Vinales!
TBH, I wasn't certain that VR46 would go out again for the re-start, he looked like he was in shock, fair play to him taking his grid position, that can't have been easy!

Drama aplenty eh!

EspargaNO - he needs to learn some track manners and Zarco, just looks incredibly unlucky.

Rossi - not sure i'd want to race again after watching 5 of my 9 lives disappear in one incident.

Grand to see Dovi on top and stick two fingers up to Ducati ... wonder if he'll put a thorn in the Rossi / Petronas negotiations ......

Marquez must be itching to get back out now but very happy to avoid yesterday.
