My thoughts about trying something I have not done before is,if someone else can do it,then so can I

Apart from giving birth Shocked

I tried plastering.Big fail.I definitely need more practice if I were to need more than a few small patches doing.

But welding. This is far more dangerous than plastering and I took all the safety precautions that I could think of before attempting this for the first time.

A friend had done some arc welding on my trailer and had done a reasonable job for me.So when another friend offered me a MIG welder at a very good price it was the ideal tool to weld some more brackets onto my three bike trailer.

As a first attempt it was definitely an experience. The good thing is the brackets are still in place and not fallen off.But I will not be applying for a welding job in the not too distant future Wink

Oo! But look ... we actually *could* resurrect this thread nicely with a series of things we have tried lately for the first time.

Tomorrow I intend to try making a sort of celeriac and dill bed of salad (instead of rice) for my curried chicken kebabs.

That actually sounds more horrid than it wil probably taste.
I shall report back.
