I wonder whether the same sort of advert trick would work today, when people are even less able. I'm inclined to doubt it would now, and perhaps it did not wotk then, back in the 1940s I guess.

For anyone thats interested that's actually a Trident T150V, not a Bonnie. An export model 1975, what a lovely sound the 3 cylinder 750 made. Note the right hand shift, probably the last year they were built like that, the left hand shift T160 came in the same year. Just an observation , but a lot of the bikes built in the 40's were green!
