Were African slaves treated worse or better than slaves from other countries?

Or is the issue that it was more recent in history than all of the slavery in the history of mankind's civilisation?


Attention Seeking Behaviour and/or an excuse for failure.

I know hundreds of black folks who do not bleat about how down-trodden they are.

I know hundreds of not-black people who do not have two shirt buttons to rub together and none of their ancestors had much more than that.

I think you should compare it to the Barbary Slave trade. I think the last country in the middle east to outlaw slavery did it in 1962. And of course it's still going on which is an issue worthy of protesting.

Of course you have a lot of Americans of African descent. You don't really get that in the middle east because the Mediterranean slaves they took were castrated, and any unfortunate offspring which did occur Terminated. Which is Nice.

This is not a stupid thread because of the "Boy who cried wolf effect*"

-When things like Corona, Climate Change, AI, Uncle Ben, etc. are seen as racist

-When there is a new 'racist' thing of the week

-When the likes of Owen Jones are less concerned about the slaughter of an innocent police officer than the police sharing a symbol which 'might offend someone'

-When BLM riot because two black shoplifters are effectively not granted immunity

*'Boy who cried wolf' effect: When some serious racial atrocity occurs there is a danger than the public will have been desensitized and do nothing about it.

It's evolved to the point where 4chan users try and out do each other on who can come up with the most innocent thing the nut jobs will label as "an alt-right dog whistle*"

*All I get from this phrase is a mental image of lots of little white staffies happily jogging along, black labs hearing but ignoring it and then a slightly conflicted dalmatian in the middle.
