Adverts now cropping up in the middle of threads. Do not like.
Thumbs Down

Edit: have they gone already? Some sort of test?

Look what was last installed in control panel - sort by date, that's some kind of 'helpful' advert inserting thing, it might be a piggyback install that isn't exactly malicious.
Could be in the browser too.

It's not necessarily something recently installed or added.

It's on the iPad (an old one). Not happening on the work laptop. I don't know how I'd check, there's no Control Panel as such.

Finding which extension or app is causing adware problems can be a PITA.

https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT203987

In terms of there being no control panel to check, you want to be looking at the lists of installed apps and extensions.

Yeah, it's a right headache. Laughing

I've started seeing these, but only when I'm browsing without logging in. Log in, and they're gone.

Oh dear, log out and there are dirty great big adverts in every thread.

It doesn't have to be this way because there are other ways to bankroll BCF.

Ste for admin 2020 would make BCF great again by removing Google Ads.

I hat to visit the computer world's STD Clinic last week.

I got some malware trying to sell me an antivirus shite that was too good to be true. Dug in deep in the registration plate.

something 31 something.46 Can't remember.

A Proper Dirty Bertie.

I had clicked on page by accident which selected a dogshite app which installed it's self.

One of those apps that 'they say' steal all your banking info.
