Hi all just wanted to put this up as I know some one will search for it , the nsr 250 mc18 barrel will fit but only needs one modification, and that is to close off the front water path that the gasket covers , due to the water gallery protruding into the crank case . Other than than it fits the studs and ports line up fine , but you need the cylinder head as well as the studs are aligned differently.

The Rg125 FUN from suzuki would or could use the RGV 250 top end as well with the same mod of blanking off the water outlet. the 250 top end was in a slightly higher state of tune due to the fact the 250 had enough bottom end to get off the line torque wise but in real world situations the 250 top end didn't feel that much different setting off.

How does the crank/con-rod/main bearings of the 125 handle the extra power/mass of the 250 piston etc...

I'd be interested to know if the bottom end lasts more than a couple of thousand miles...

The NSR 250 is a twin. The pistons are a similar size to the 125.
