That jack plug can F-off.

Found a vid where it's played as an acoustic...sounds good but can understand why they've added electrics. Acoustically it's quite forward like a banjo or a resonator. Plugged in and it gains some body like a dreadnought.

Always good to see any developments with guitars. Thumbs Up

Agree. Dumb place to put it. Underside would have been better.

My first thought was it had that kind of harshness of a resonator, like the steel guitar behind him. Good delta blues sound.
Then on the pickup only, I thought it had a slightly compressed sound like a more modern round back. So a bit more versatility.
I imagine that you'd have less potential problems with feedback when you try to get some volume when amped up than with a traditional acoustic?*
Could have had a more sculpted headstock to tie in with the body.

*Oh yeah, he mentions that.

Does look like a pretty clever design.
Would look nice in my living room, which is all wood tones Smile

I use them on a few guitars that don't have angled sockets but even with a 45 degree jack it's allowing the cable to flap about....move around as you're playing and it'll be tapping on the body. Daresay an angled jack would make matters worse in that respect.

I did say it sounds good. Smile

I wonder what happens with left hand vs right hand models Thinking It's like the angle you'd have if the instrument were flipped over, there's a certain module look to the thing. The usual "cheat" would be to have a combo jack and strap pin centred at the back.
