Today, it was the very first start of my XBR after the carburetor and fuel tap rebuild. The engine got so smooth and responsive. It almost feels like a in-line twin cylinder now. Shocked

I couldn't test it on the road, but I hope I will before it starts snowing. I still can not believe how smooth the engine got. Thinking

Just over two years ago I finished a rebuild of an early 70's Yam GT 50.
There's a thread about it here:-

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=323620

I had it up and running although I wasn't happy with the high idle speed.
Put it away for winter 2018/2019, life got in the way and the bike was left wrapped in it's covers.

Last week a friend of mine mentioned he would like to see it, I said OK and foolishly said I'd get it running.
My mate turned up yesterday, obviously I hadn't even looked at the bike.
Got the covers off and put some air in the tyres.
The puny 6V battery was flat, natch!

Anyway, turned the petrol tap to "ON", put the choke on, turned the ignition on, selected second gear, paddled it down the road and it started straight away, it ran great, even the idle had settled down, clutch worked as did the brakes.

Gears well and truly oiled! Mr. Green

I turned some plain flour, egg yolks, milk, yeast, ground sugar, pinch of salt, oil, baking fat and lemon peels, into this:

... that into this ...

... and then added some curds mixed with some eggs, sugar (again), vanilla sugar and vanilla pudding on top of that, which resulted in this (it's supposed to be round, but I could not be bothered; tastes the same regardless of the shape):

The fact that it's Halloween and Covid means probably no trick-or-treaters. Every cloud etc.

People are just leaving sweets etc out in their front gardens on my estate to avoid opening doors.

I'm personally sat in a softplay place whilst the little bastard runs round.

Damn. This year I am so well prepared too. I've made a hole in the side of a Roses tin for my penis, got my cam set up and made a Rolf Harris mask. I was so looking forward to the expressions of surprise when they dip in for a handful and I can say 'can you guess what it is yet...'.

It doesn't surprise me in the least that you would do something like that.

Truth Seekers.

earlier this year, I got paid to watch the pilot of this and give my feedback. (Though it didn't have a title).

I really like it, and now its out. So, I can say I saw it now.
