Swan food. A big 10kg sack of it.
There is a swan family in the marina and they go round tapping on the boats that people are on to get given food. Mr Swan even taps on my kitchen window They have been eating me out of bread so I'll keep a handful of this food to throw them when they become annoying.
Pity they don't fcuk off somewhere for the winter rather than mugging me.
Oh yes, 3 fence panels from Wickes. It just came to under the free delivery amount so I ordered a large box of various screws to take me over the free delivery point and save £7.99. Pity the box of screws cost £13. ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

Leather gloves for winter walks rather than for motorcycling. I have plenty of bike gloves already. These ones look
like they may be army surplus. £8 delivered.

Caveats: this is a post for old ppl who's eyes are fucked not for ppl who's eyes were already fucked before they got old i.e. your eyes are roughly "even" and you can get by on Poundland's finest opticalwear
Anyhoo, the aforementioned quid-slinger's offerings are getting annoying. Either I hear a spontaneous crack and a lens drops out or an arm pings off. And they scratch really easily
I've really splashed out this time... on eBay
First up I got some +2.5's for close-up stuff on jobs and stretched to a whole £6. I was actually quite surprised how comfortable they are. I'm not going to turn this into a spam-fest but they're the only cheap ones I could find billed as "scratch-resistant" - time will tell.
Then I saw "progressive focus with blue light filter" oooh! sounds kewl These are obviously all mass-produced Chinese crap and I got a deal on 4: bifocal +2.0, a couple of +2.50 and this new fangled +1 to +7 progressive focal. As I suspected, I should probably stick to +2.0 for screen and reserve +2.50 for things like circuit board work and phone repair.
The blue-light filter does take the edge off things if you stare at computer screens all day but there's probably some monitor setting that does the same thing Talk about cheap though: the lens and bridge are all one piece of plastic with a scratchy bit of flashing where it sits on your nose I assume one mould and then ground to spec.
As to this "progressive focus" thing, I totally don't understand it; I expected something more... dramatic. Seems better than bifocal though for computer screens. ____________________ Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |

Cubasis 3, half price Black Friday sale. Didn't want to spend £50 on an app, but I miss having Cubase, and although I'm impressed by what Garageband can do on the iPad, it's lacking in some areas. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you.
