Can I consider myself a biker yet ? if not how long? The world's smallest violin player, just for you!

I've clocked up over 7500 miles this year (including Dover to London & Dover to Stoke) in addition to my daily commute, and passed my Mod2 Wednesday Dance!

I think you're a "biker" if you use a motorbike and like it. Well, even if you don't like it, as long as you continue to do it. Especially if it's your only transport.

Depends. Are you the type that runs unrestricted headers and rides up and down the street setting off car alarms? If so, you've got a ways to go.
There are people with less experience than you who consider themselves bikers. In my opinion, you'll know you've arrived when you don't have to ask.

Whoa, lol.
That is sooo profound, and I totally agree. Although you didn't factor in the fact that I just needed to tell someone I passed my MOD 2, and the forums were out yesterday when I tried to post (kid with a new toy syndrome) Bounce!

I always thought "biker" was a lifestyle choice for people who want to sound tough rather than a title chosen for enjoying bikes.

I've done hundreds of thousands of miles, but would never consider myself a "biker". It's a bit cringe for me.

The characterization "biker" is not limited to that one percent of motorcycle riders that wear patches. To the best of my knowledge, even they refer to the rest of us as "bikers". I had an apprentice once who was a member in such a "club" (with a patch and a rocker, etc). He always referred to me as an "independent."
