I sawa a meme posted the other day of the queen accidentally beheading a black guy in a BLM t-shirt while knighting him and thought "That's a bit sketchy".,. Then someone pointed out it was Lewis Hamilton and therefore nothing to do with the coloyur of his skin. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. Again it’s not about race, it’s about class, but you can pick out a sub-group and pretend that race is the issue.
Here’s another recent story, although in fact it’s a rehash of a story from 2017. Photographic film is racist. (Are movies still “filmed” in these digital times?)

There's all sorts of things like that: women don't tend towards autism and you don't find many men with borderline personality disorder (or, more accurately, it displays very differently between men & women.)
The Nigerian thing is "happiness due to low expectation." Reminds me: Kraut did a video on Nogales on the US/Mexican border. Language, culture, race... the two halves of the town are nearly identical in all aspects bar their government and yet wildly different outcomes in health, income, crime, etc. Very interesting.
He goes on to pretty much blame the Spanish for everything which makes a change from pinning all the world's woes on white Anglo-Saxon protestants ____________________ Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |

In the context of this thread what's interesting is how racial groups exposed to similar level of actual racism experience different outcomes. For instance there's a big difference between Bangladeshis, Hindu Indian, Sihks and Pakistanis living in the UK but they likely experience the same racism, so as bad as racism is it clearly cannot be used to explain away all poor outcomes. The same thing can be seen comparing immigrant Africans from continental Africa and Afro-carribians. Mind though that it seems that the original generation of immigrants from the west indies were as positive as current continental Africans and I'm pretty sure encountered far more vicious racism than contemporary immigrants.
Im suspicious of the BPD stats for gender as I think the way BPD presents is different between the genders. It's more likely more women with BPD get assessed as their symptoms will likely bring them into contact with health services whereas mens BPD symptoms are more likely to get them in touch with criminal justice services. |
