Iirc they're not making the nc750s any more - just the x. I'm surprised because a). the seat to peg measurements are almost certainly going to be the same (aren't they??) and b). because the S has shorter travel suspension, it will carry it's weight lower - and if it does that, surely it will handle better (CoM not withstanding, I suppose). And yet it's the X that sold and sold again over the past five years or however long it's been.

I'm guessing that's because "styling" - i.e. looks more like one dem advencher bikes dun tit.

Redlining at 1500rpm, with a frame made from bar (not that old fashioned tubing), and weighing in at three imperial tons, the NC is a strange proposition. Arguing with that mpg is a bit churlish though.

Update: I've got the bike, full story in the pictures thread.

I've only ridden it for a few hours around the City and back home but it handles much better than the Rebel quelle surprise and so there seems as yet no need for any suspension shenanigans.

Still a very interesting thread, every day a learning day and all that Thumbs Up
