Hallelujah, Noel,
Be it heaven or hell,
The Christmas we get, we deserve.

Since no-one has yet pinned the head of the household, it's still Festivus.

Evening all, just wanted to take a minute to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy year, most of all good health!
These days people don't spend much time or thought on some personal words to their friends and family, they just copy and paste some random shit and send it on.
So, after all we've been though together this year I want to thank you for your friendship and wish you a happy 2018!
You are the best gymnastics group anyone could ask for.
Best wishes, Brenda

My daughter is upset that I am on my own, but in fact I am actually starting to enjoy the lack of stress, its a much more gentle way of dealing with Christmas than inflicting other people's dramas upon oneself.

I had a nice bit of jewelled meatloaf for tea on Xmas Eve, made with that posh Duchy stuff from Waitrose, and so far have had a bag of crisps for brunch. Forgot to get out the roast beef to defrost, but I might have some fishfingers later on, maybe with parsnips and chestnuts, dunno ... something that might go nice with a glass of white wine, and then a bit of chocolate yule log and ... Thinking sauternes or Amaretto?
Decisions, decisions!

Dennis the tripod cat has thrown up her breakfast, and now she is helping me eat the crisps.
And I'm watching Mary Kills People on All 4, terribly good, about a doctor who kills of terminal patients.

These two cigars, they're in tubes, y'see.
Was gonna give one to the military type, and the other to this other, erm, yeah someone else.
Might crack one open, and save the other one to play with later.

Merry Christmas, most beloved forum of mad buggers.

Its good to experience Christmas alone, It makes you realise it is just another day. its all so over hyped, especially if you're not religiously inclined.

I've fucked up the above post.

Somehow ended with my comments quoted to myself, I'm very confused.

Think my mums home made mince pies have an extra special ingredient this year.

or it could be the vodka?

Happy Christmas one and all!

Wasn't particularly looking forward to being away from my daughters and the rest of the fam this year because we're (sort of) stuck in Cyprus.

We'd expected to be just us with the cat, ignoring the whole business.

But then a friend invited us and a small (Covid legal) number for what turned out to be an over-the-top Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. It was amazing.

From there we went to a riotous party in the village, with Greek, Cypriot, Russian and UK chums, which lasted till post curfew, loads of booze, danciing, filthy games and pants-wetting laughter.

I can honestly say it was the best Christmas ever Laughing

Hope you enjoyed yours whatever you did Thumbs Up
