Indeed; and often not in the way you'd expect.

My old Sprint ~£2.2k offer from WBAB - dealer I was purchasing KTM from ~£1.8k. KTM ~£1.8k from WBAB - dealer I was looking to purchase a new bike from £2.5k whereas dealer I bought it from wouldn't touch it because it was 'high mileage' (it had ~5k more on it than when I bought it from them in the first place lol).

I sold the Sprint to the dealer after negotiating £500 of the sticker price of the KTM. They stuck it up for £3750! KTM I sold privately for near double what WBAB offered.

I'd say that exhaust is f***ked

I had the same on a gv650 hyosung and it was the catalytic converter had collapsed fortunately replaced under warranty
