I think my gears are being oiled today... Thinking
Feeling spaced through lack of sleep, but it's not an entirely unpleasant feeling, not having anything in particular to achieve today. So I've been drinking coffee all day, so spaced and buzzed out at the same time. Added to the mix loud rock and blues, which seems to be going down well. Expecting a crash in a few hours time...

Sleeping pattern? What's that then? Laughing

Could use some weed - that'd be perfection right now.

Sigh.

Random people not being dicks has oiled my gears today.

To avoid roadworks I took the bike up a kerb and through a park. Woman with kids was blocking my way and instead of the expected shouting and swearing she moved her kids to the side and all 3 of them started cheering me on as if I was crossing the line at the TT Laughing

Since I'm on the poverty line, it's not so much finding it that would be the problem Sad
Although since moving up here, I've been so into my own thing, till the money ran out, that I still don't know anyone around here Laughing

A customer at work was having difficulties locking a generator resulting in the fuel being stolen last night.
I was asked to attend today and fix the lock.

When he showed me how he was locking it I told him to turn the key in the other direction.

Boom, generator locked and one very red faced and apologetic site manager!

The little bastard is getting better at cycling. He's still on stablisers but doesn't stick to one side and is linking up longer periods of no stabliser touching the ground.

Wait till you take them off, the first thing he will do is fall flat on his face.
Mine did!

Stabilisers seem like a similar proposition to a trike, counter steering ain't a thing Sad Still, the young tend to learn quickly after a few lowsides.

He also has a balance bike so he knows how to steer round corners without stabilisers.

I did a unilateral thyroidectomy on a cat today. Never done that in 20 years, always been scared to. It went well.

Any surgical procedure that has the external jugular vein and recurrant laryngeal nerve in my surgical field gives me a squeaky bum.

Do you have a basketball hoop over a bin for the ones that don't make it?

Discovering that a few rock albums that I had in my collection but had never really got around to listening to for some inexplicable reason actually have some stuff I really quite like on them.

Being in the 'virtual audience' for tonight's Graham Norton show.
Did it on a whim, but found it really interesting; you got to watch the whole show being filmed warts and all, including the pauses while GN gets instructions over his earpiece, and one of the guests* goes for a wee mid-interview

*I'd tell you who, but I had to sign away my life in virtual blood not to reveal anything whatsoever whosever hereinafter thereto aforementioned hereby bollocks
