I suspect that a Finn saying 'Hello, we don't see many Africans around here' would be logged as just as racist as 'why don't you fuck off back to where you come from'

It's amazing what you can class as racism when it suits your agenda.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a degree of lost in translation too. By most standards, the Finnish language is somewhat odd.

So are we saying only specific -isms are bad or are we going to take it to the logical conclusion that "othering" is bad? The problem with the latter option is the old "it's okay when we do it" Thinking
