I recommend Lexham insurance. I use comparison sights and 9/10 times Lexham gives me the best quote.

You don't need a license or insurance for e scooters because they're not road legal in any way, shape or form. So if you or your son want to ride one then you're going to need some private land.

For insuring the 125, just put your details through some price comparison sites to find which insurance company is cheapest for you.

E scooters can be used on the road but 1) only if hired from a suitably registered and insured supplier and 2) you have a full licence of some sort.

yeah no worries i seen the section on gov site that says

You must have the category Q entitlement on your driving licence to use an e-scooter. A full or provisional UK licence for categories AM, A or B includes entitlement for category Q. If you have one of these licences, you can use an e-scooter.

If you have a provisional licence, you do not need to show L plates when using an e-scooter.

You cannot get insurance as an individual and if you own an e scooter there are no circumstances where you can use one legally on anything considered a highway at present.

I always use moneysupermarket as they seem to provide the cheapest premiums from the most popular rapscallions in the insurance Racket/Cartel.
