Hello,

I own a Yamaha YN Neos Easy. When I bought it the oil pump didn't work so I have sort out a new part but I an clueless as to where it goes.

I've looked at the schematics of the moped and have had a look at my own moped but still have no idea where it goes.

If anybody could help that would be grateful Very Happy

If someone offered me an engine with a failed oil pump
I'd regard it as ruined/scrap value only unless or until it could be proven otherwise
and would not throw money at it
Oil pump failures seldom result in a mildly annoying but easily fixed situation.!

What year?
'Neos' is just what they put on stickers
Its a YN50
for reference

Here's a link to new pump
the toothed wheel indicates its driven off the crankshaft
for actual location just follow the pipework
One pipe will be in from the tank
One pipe will be out to the inlet manifold

I got it as I needed something to commune in (or should I say on) and was my cheapest option at the time.

Remember it will need bleeding all the air out of the oil lines and pump...

What's the best way to go about that do you reckon?

Gravity initially, there should be a bleed screw on the pump somewhere/@ the top.

Then with engine running, watch oil spurt slightly but regularly from pipe from pump to engine...

More engine speed more oil spurting out.

You are running on petroil at the moment, 2t oil in the petrol ?

You have 2t oil to fill the oil tank, the oil pipe to the pump may have a filter...

If the oil pump was not working when he bought it, the list could be quite long...
