I have a 2007 Better BT 125 which is basically a Honda CG 125 from the mid 80s I think.

sprocket retainer on rear wheel hub is well worn, and I have seen this advertised

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rear-Wheel-CG125-04-08-drum-with-brake-plate-Rim-1-40-x-18/113987457334?_trkparms=aid%3D555023%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIMRVI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20210125104017%26meid%3D947b9a85c3a947c29a173b668eda282e%26pid%3D100752%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D24%26mehot%3Dpf%26sd%3D233971019941%26itm%3D113987457334%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DSimplAMLv5hPointwiseWebNoToraCoCoViewsNoHighIdfOrRoundRobinBlenderWithPromotedViewItems&_trksid=p2047675.c100752.m1982

It states that it fits 04-08 models, but I assume all CG spoked drum braked wheels were the same.

can anyone advise please.

The CG125 was a long-running model with several different rear wheels!
Whether any will fit your bike is pure guesswork!

Its simple.
the listing says
100% buyer satisfaction and 30-day returns
so just buy it via paypal and when it arrives measure it up
to see if it fits.
If it doesnt send the bugger back.

For that price it wont be genuine Honda so probably a typical chinese pattern one fitted to millions of CG clone bikes and I reckon there's a good chance it will fit

thanks for the replies. I was about to do what you suggest, but established that the 04 - 07 model has 64 mm spacing on cush rubbers and 45 tooth sprocket. mine has 58mm spacing and 41 tooth sprocket.
puts mine in the model range 77 - 89.
been looking on china parts sites but not found anything yet.
