Picked up the new bike on Saturday and I have to say I'm absolutely smitten with it. Totally in love with the thing. I loved the Fazer but this is something else.

Only two complaints (so far that I can think of) are:

1) fucking clutch cable gets in the way of the ignition keyhole making it surprisingly difficult to get the bloody key in (and out)! Thinking of just cable tieing it flush to the handle bar to keep it out of the way not sure how that would affect its operation though Shocked

2) despite most of the reviews of the bike on YouTube saying rear visibility is very good, I'm struggling with it. I kept with the stock mirrors on the Fazer and found them adequate. I am very broad though so do kinda have to squirm and wriggle about in my saddle to see behind me properly on any bike. The MT though is awful. I think the mirrors themselves are big enough and they couldn't be any further out than they already are without actually being wider than the bike itself. I think maybe it's just a very narrow bike in comparison to some? I'm thinking of getting some mirror extenders but worried about it looking a bit dorky (where most people opt for bar end mirrors for aesthetics) and also protruding further out than the handle bars, affecting filtering.

What are your thoughts? Maybe use bar end mirrors as well as the stock ones? Go for edxtenders? Your experiences?

i have a 2020 mt-10 ..

i have fitted bar risers .. no problem wit clutch cable / ignition key.

i have fitted mirror extenders.. they work ..
aesthetics .. do you want some fuckin make up aswell ? Rolling Eyes

the allen key bolts that fix them collect water causing some rust ..
i filled them with silver paint..
they don`t affect filtering...

Cable tying the clutch cable should be fine, so long as you can still move the bars freely from lock to lock without affecting the use of the clutch. I'd bet on it being no problem.

With the mirrors, I'd recommend riding it a lot more before making changes like that. I bet you'll be used to them within a few weeks or months at most.

Why? I heard the triple engine is a peach. Bike as a whole likle the plastics etc. maybe a tad on the budget side of things but that's reflected in the price and you still get all the Japanese build quality and reliability. Never ridden one or even sat on one for that matter, just what I heard.

Not completely unrelated! Maybe bar risers would actually help with the rearward visibility on my MT10 as that would raise everything up including the mirrors. Food for thought. Not feeling a particular necessity to raise the whole lot but would like tidier than having silly mirrors sticking out on elongated stalks...

the stalks are not elongated .. the whole mirror is mounted on a separate
bracket which raises and moves outwards some 50mm or so.. which way fitted .. is upto the operator..
