So I think officially it's not going ahead but bearing in mind we're out of lockdown, only restrictions are on gathering in groups and indoors. Anyone planning on just going along for the ride?

I'll take your word on the weather. None of my friends would come out to play so I had a boozy late one the night before and slept in until 1pm sulking about the lack of two-wheeled escapades.

The way I done it two years ago though was much better, in fact I think it might have been you who recommended the route? Was someone on here anyway maybe it was Fizzer Thou or Chicken Strips if it wasn't you? From Locksbottom went down through Biggin Hill and onto the A25 and over to Ryka's from there. Pitstop then down the A24 to Worthing and follow the coastroad to Hastings. Mooched around for a few hours and home to Yalding via the A21. Far fewer dickheads trying to kill you and a much nicer more relaxed ride. In fact that was the year the poor old chap died on the A21 from another biker's error and everyone got stuck on the A21. I got to Hastings and heard everyone else talking about it but I was blissfully unaware about it until that point as obviously I'd done an Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman (went the long way round).
