Hello, I'm new to the whole motorbike scene and I was wondering if anyone can assist me.

I was hoping to get my motorbike on a train with me to travel up north. I was told that years ago this was possible. Does anyone know if this is still a possibility?

Thanks

Not possible these days, why can't you ride it, after all that's what they're for.

There are, however, professional motorcycle movers who will transport your bike for you so that when you arrive - by whichever means you fancy - it's there waiting for you.

Well if you’re make a tour/trip out of being up north??
Why not travel half way up there and stop for the night?
Then you’ll only have half as far to go to be up North.

Are you an L- plater?
You don’t need motorways to get up north, there are plenty of A-roads to get you up there.

Bunk Houses are the way to go.

Most are well run and comfortable and inexpensive. (Unless you are dead posh and can afford a B&B or Hotel.)

Location: Glasgow

How much further north are you trying to go?! From Glasgow north the roads are fantastic and trains limited anyway (albeit rather scenic along the line to Fort William), irrespective of their inability to carry a motorcycle.

You can ride from Glesga to Durness in a day seeing the sights.

Well my personal guess is that the OP has bought a bike in England and wants to get it home to Glasgow, but as she appears to have done a runner, anything is conjecture
