Notable purchases over the last couple of days are a 50" Panasonic telly (an absolute mindblower of a buy, way too much choice) the bestingest Black & Decker Workmate and a kitchen waste bin, which are much more expensive than I imagined them to be.
I think the last big ticket item I need is a vacuum cleaner of some sort, which is doing my head in nearly as much as the TV. ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........

I'm pretty sure "TEC bike parts" are just re-branding the same cheapo RFY ones on eBay and charging a premium but they will be better than the indian made ones I have on one of the Enfields. |

In answer to the questions and suggestions, no I didn't buy an Ambilight TV, couldn't see the point - the process of choosing a set became so complicated it was getting tedious, so I applied some simple rules - what did I actually want it to do, how big did it actually need to be and what was the budget?
Once I'd figured that out, I went for a trusted brand and the Panasonic 50 fitted the bill - delivered at 11.30, was watching it before 12 and it's great
As for the hoover, if I wanted an expensive thing, Dyson would never have been in the frame, Shark might have figured, but I would probably go for a Sebo - if I wanted something that was a really good vacuum cleaner, I would save myself some money and buy a Vorwerk.
As it is, I'm a single guy with no pets, no kids and no hair falling out all over the place, so what I needed was something that I could whizz round every once in a while and then tuck neatly in the corner of a cupboard - Hoover (with a big 'H') upright, coming tomorrow for 85 quid - job jobbed ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........

Aftermarket LED lights for rear of tv exist.
"Govee" make them. Including some that can be controlled by Alexa. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

Yeah but if you buy two of them you can attach knives to them and make them fight to the death.
And you could probably get a discount on your home insurance if there's a roomba with a knife patrolling your house. |

Twelve boxes of nag champa incense.
A box of small and medium velcro strips for hanging pictures.
Some strips that you pee on to see if you are in ketosis
