Spent all day designing and fabricating a replacement chain tensioner for my trials bike that is thinner than the standard snail cam due to spacer issues.

Finished the day by deciding that it's simpler to just have a standard snail cam milled thinner and be careful not to whack it too hard with a hammer.

I suspect the problem is they aren't all that easy to use to actually tension the chain. You generally land up sort of tensioning the chain by manhandling the wheel then twiddling the snail cam into place to stop it moving under power.

Probably not so great for box-section swingarms either. You need a spacer in there anyway to stop you crushing the swingarm and you need an end cap to stop it filling with water. Add a nut and a stud and you have a chain adjuster (which can actually tension a chain).

Bastard Datatool alarm/immobiliser on bike started acting up this morning! Alarm constantly going off, wouldn't respond to any fobs. For now I've detached the speaker/sounder. Need to spend a day tracing back to the loom and remove it entirely.

I had the joy of attempting to disable TLS 1.0 & 1.1 on my companies domain.

Cue a lot of systems failing and angry app developers.

Luckily the CIO told them to sort their apps out.
