Moto E? Just can't bring myself to be excited or interested in it. Sounds awful and bores me to tears. I have binged watched, on videopass spoiler free, today every session of every class of MotoGP except the hairdryer with a rider on it class.

There is no motorsport as exciting as MotoGP qualifying.

Hope the best for Sam Lowes, Morbidelli and McPhee

I know that E bike racing will be the norm in the future. Until that day let the atmosphere burn. I'll get my coat.

There's a good chance that I will die on a motorbike. How does everyone know that a fellow BCF member has perished?

Just saying that if I don't post on here for one month then I'm dead. My daughter Imogen has been told to post here when I die.

Such a happy chap I am Laughing

Been a ride down to Moffat on the 600. Great day not too hot not too cold. The Edinburgh to Moffat road A701 must be up there with the best roads to ride on. On the way back up through Selkirk there were sheep running around on the road at one location, this scuppered the making progress. Has anyone ridden these roads?

So I have actually asked a member of the opposite sex to have a coffee. Shocked

It has seriously been over 30 years since I ever did something as stupid as that.

Been widowed for four years now. Not sure I really can be bothered to speak to anyone let alone a female for coffee. It will end up stressing me out. But one has got to make an effort. At the moment it is either cannabis, drink, son, dogs and motorbikes. Not all at the same time. And not good as a way to live.

Unfortunately, due to medication, I am struggling to get an erection. So may have to read up on viagra ffs

Do you think I'm looking too far ahead? I'm old school and female friends were just girls that wouldn't shag you.

Get rid of the son and dogs, and you'll be on the right track.
As it is, don't worry about your 'date'. You're doing mostly the right things to ensure she won't be a long term problem, which she'll suss pretty quickly Very Happy

Ye of little faith. She actually said yes which already means she has some problem or other. I hope she's not nice or I'll start spluttering and spit my falsers out on her across the table.

Just to drop in with my monthly 'I'm still alive' post.

Getting rid of the Ninja 650 and potentially getting this VFR 1200. Had one before and remember it was big and lardy. Just really like the look of them even with mediocre, at best. reviews. A straight swap price wise with my Ninja. VFR, although 9 years old, is a different league of bike to the Ninja, almost 3 x the HP. Comes with full luggage.

Most importantly it is shaft drive so I don't need to oil a fucking chain.

So I went to see this tonight, 2010 manual with only 2200 miles on the clock. I thought it was a typo when I read that. The bike is lovely so I pick it up tomorrow. Very Happy It was a good deal and the bike is immaculate

Desperately need to sell the Ninja now. No more bikes and I mean it this time.

Seriously? I've heard that somewhere before. Might have even uttered that verse myself, once upon a time. What, No! I never said that! Cool

Ninja 650 sold. Could have got more but that would mean I had to clean it. They knocked me only £50 off their offer for needing the chain replaced.

Goodbye my old pal. It wasn't you it was me. We can stay friends. I'm just not ready for it at the moment. I appreciate you trying to be a touring bike but the panniers and tank bag just don't do it for me anymore and if that doesn't work GTF your breath makes me ill.

Right Royal fuckup. Thought I'd filled the 250 up, turns out I'd filled the 400 up and so hence run out of petrol on the 250 when out on a nice run, no happy. Love the wee bike though. It feels like a very speedy 125.

It's a keeper Paddy. Great fun little bike. Absolutely nothing then at 14000 revs it's off like a scalded cat

I assume you're talking about handling? Be interested to hear what it turns out to be...[/quote]

It turned out to be the worst alignment the mechanic had ever seen. That with a shitload of torque steer, which I'm not used to, caused me to crap my pants. All is good now though. Getting a road-legal track car is the best thing I've done. Can scoot about the country roads as if you're in a gokart at Laguna Seca. Actually I prefer Spa. Well if we're going down that route then the Nordsheiflethinymajig is somewhere I'll ride round before I'm unable to do anything.

Edit I don't know how to do the quote.

My name is Struan. I am a bikeacholic. It's been seven solid years on it. It gets me high/low. It drains me, it drains my finances, it drains my relationships and only my daughter approves.

Seriously it's got to stop. I am either buying or selling a bike, looking at helmets of patterns you definitely wouldn't put on your wall. I leave the cover of the VFR just so I can see it out of the window. I can't for the life of me decide whether it looks better with the panniers on or not. And then it starts, it starts, the youtube video obsession. Reviews are going to be the hardest to come off.

My only saving grace is that I manage to stay of most videologgers, shit loggers. I know that isn't right.

Monthly check in to say I'm just about alive.

Love motorcycles, will never surrender to reality.

This is the helmet I like. What do you guys think? If I give up whisky for 2 months I can afford this. Or so I keep telling myself.

If in doubt buy another bike is my motto.

To tell the truth it is anything to get that quick hit, shopping, biking, drugs, drink or whatever it takes at any given time.

The VFR is shaft drive so no more effin chain cleaning to worry about.

Bike is surprisingly low. At 5ft seven I can get good purchase on the ground. The bike and front part of the seat are thin, along with the engine. Seems like a smaller bike when you are riding it. Pain in the arse to move it on the chips out front though. Ordered some fairing crash protection as it's only a matter of time until it is on its side, poor bike.

What do you think of the helmet?

Just had a look in front of me while looking at my PC screen. And thought I'd photo it.
3 helmets one packed in Tank bag for taking to get fixed. One pair of motorcycle jeans.
One ventilated Jacket
One leather trousers
One six in one power pack
One original Evil Knievel stunt set.

Seriously great being single. My relationship with Jane has been simmering for 5 years, slow burner. She has a disabled child also and is in a similar situation as me. See how that turns out. Need to give up the cannabis so I can again get the confidence to speak to another human without instantly disliking them.

Anyway instead of house fittings I've got this to look at in my living area. Laughing Sorry rambling on about shit no one wants to hear. This is my life diary stored right here.

All my stuff is here on BCF too. You kind of settle in, and since no one has said I've got to get a job and pay the rent, I'll stick around a bit longer - put the kettle on! Smile

Btw, I have a solution to your weed problem; send it all to me Very Happy

Btw 2: Bikes are the reason I'm skint and broken now. Spent everything on them for most of my life, including my physical condition. Although, tbh, bikes weren't the only way I tried to see how much punishment the human body can take Laughing

A wee run around the borders today. Loving the VFR....it's fast as fuck. Shit around the town because of the fueling in 1st and second gear is a bit on and off. Need to use a bit of clutch and back brake at low speeds/ Get it on the A/B roads then it really is a nice bike. Drink is better but only just.
