Was passing a petrol station today just as the trip meter hit 100 miles, fuel gauge was showing about 1/3rd of a tank left, so topped up. It took 7.5 litres, so that's around 60mpg.

17 litre tank, that's 3.75 gallons, giving a range of around 220 miles. I've seen quotes for 3, 3.5 and 4 litres for reserve, so at least 40 miles spare.

CB750 45-50, 160-180 miles to reserve
zx9r, anything from 35-45, for 140 to 160 miles to reserve so far, plus 1 extra mile me pushing it to the petrol station.

I get about 30 to 33 miles per UK gallon on my S1000R. I fill up about every 100 miles and I get about 15 litres in.

Apparently the capacity is 16.5 so the estimated range on the dash isn't leaving anything in reserve. Low fuel light comes on with 30 miles to go, and it only has 120 miles when full. I generally fill at 20 miles left.

Laughing one of the fastest production bikes ever made with maybe the best mpg return on this thread (excluding tiddlers).

I'm not sure if you're riding it in the manner it was envisioned.

My old Vity averaged 95.7 according to fuelly with a best of 117.9mpg when I had my old 20mile commute all on A roads. I used to have to fill up every other day then which was annoying, even at 100+mpg I could only get about 90 miles out of a tank, but then it only cost £4 to fill.

Since I’ve got my big boy licence I’ve only been out twice on the ER6 and it came with most of a tank full. I’m hoping it won’t be too thirsty, but we shall see, quite impressed at the CB500X and NC750 on the first page, both of them were on the short list but too expensive at the moment

unfortunately am not in the habit of wearing tyres out quickly on the Hayabusa,
So I can assume it is not being ridden in the original manufacturers expectations, but as am at retirement age ( thats my excuse) , and when I take my best friends daughter on it I have to have a top box on, otherwise they worry about her falling off the back!

I think I worked it out on the VFR750 once and it was doing about 45mpg. Haven't bothered on the 800 yet but I imagine it's about the same.

That's the thing with bikes though, we don't really care about the fuel consumption. Range can be more of an issue but thats just because of convenience, nothing to do with cost.
