I saw a bee, at least it looks like a bee, flying into a rip in a grow bag. I looks like its carrying a plant or leaf.

Does anyone have any idea what it is? Should I kill it with fire or leave it to make its happy home in the grow bag.

Not the best picture but they move pretty fast!

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I'd leaf the little lady to her tranquil self.
We had little bees coming to a lavender plant in the garden. Tiny little things. Busy as bees.
Around the same time a chap was working in the attic. He said there was a bee's nest (aye, a nest Rolling Eyes ) in the attic so the Mrs got the Cooncil to come and eradicate them.

It was the next day we made the connection. Crying or Very sad

Poor wee fuckers.

They could have been moved rather than sprayed. But that's the Cooncil for you.

For future reference if you get bees in the house or swarming in the garden, just contact your local beekeeper's association and they'll come and remove then for you. By the way, swarms are harmless - the bees are full of honey, placid and just looking for a new home. Thumbs Up

We beekeepers love free bee's Thumbs Up

Good information, generally swarms are made up of bee's with full bellies, but only when clumped together, if you have a LOT of bee's flying around people will often call this a swarm - it's not always the case and it may be a hive that's been disturbed and you'll be dealing with a very angry bunch of bee's that will sting repeatedly.

One of my hives is very aggressive and 'attack' me whenever I inspect them, next year the queen will be getting the chop.

Another 'swarm' of bee's you might be lucky to see is a virgin queen mating flight, involving several hundred drones chasing a queen trying to mate with her!

Again not dangerous as drones don't sting and the queen rarely does either.

Interesting. Is it the queen that dictated the hive 'attitude' then?

The queen is the only female in the hive that lays eggs so yes, rather Smile
