Went on my usual holiday this time on the R1 to the Scottish highlands and decided to make videos of just scenery and natural sounds, sort of in homage to The Landscape Channel that used to exist (loved this channel, was videos of scenery with mainly classical/ambient music)

Think its gonna take me a week to fully upload everything to youtube but most is on tiktoc and Instagram.
Thought id share with you lot:

If you ever decide to go to the Nevis Range to take the gondola up the mountain I recommend you get there early to anytime from opening time to 11am because come lunch time and after there is a very long queue for the gondola whilst if you go early there is no queue

Loch Etive is a must to visit, I spent 5hrs just relaxing there soaking it all in.

Went up 2 ski chairlifts one at Glenshee Cairnwell and the other at Glencoe mountain resort both gave excellent views.

There is a place called Lower Falls which is at the foot of Ben Nevis and again I relaxed here for a good 5hrs its just beautiful and peaceful there with the sound of the water rushing and the waterfall.
Its where the river water of Nevis joins the river Nevis

If your looking for a staycation I deffo recommend a trip to Scotland!
Had an almost perfect journey going up from London but coming back to London was the most dangerous journey id ever done!

I had strong winds all the way from Spean bridge to Birmingham and been blown by strong winds on an R1 is hell as the fairings just catch the wind like a sail.
Had to slow down to 50mph and even 45mph at parts with my hazard lights on, journey should taken 10.5hrs but took me 13.5hrs.

I left at 8.30am and didnt get home till about 10pm, plus a section of the M6 at junction 20a to 19 was closed so had to do a long but nice scenic detour

Next year I am driving to Scotland, despite the weather coming home the whole holiday was beautiful.

Did not manage to do my 15 mile hike again from Corrour to Spean bridge but managed to do many other stuff.
I mainly rode/walked to places to record video footage

Heres a couple of pics, the videos are in my links above for youtube and tiktoc

The white house is Corriechoille lodge b&b hotel and it also has 2 self catering log cabins which I have stayed in numerous times and the owners are so nice

Its nice clean and has beautiful views and has everything you need including a washing machine which is so handy if your staying more than a week (I stayed 3 weeks)

heres a link to their site: https://www.corriechoille.com/

What luggage do you take with you, is it just the rucksack? Surprised

Looks nice, I'm sure you have probably done it but consider the lake district for a slightly closer destination.

No I wish I could just take a rucksack!
I have my Oxford Aqua T-50 bag strapped onto the back seat plus my ruck sack, my ruck sack just has my waterproofs and laptop and packed lunch inside.
The Oxford Aqua T-50 contained my clothes and equipment and was fully waterproof (yes an oxford product was actually waterproof) as it did rain on my way up and back and my clothes were nice and dry.
Plus before I mounted the bag I stuck duct tape on the rear fairings to protect the rear fairings as in past my bags have always worn away at the paint on the plastics

The Oxford Aqua T-50 bag did me well as I only just bought it this year and I used 2 Rok straps as well as the straps that came with the bag.
Much better than using my argos duffel bag with bungie straps.
Rok Straps are very very good will be buying 2 more as they are better than the straps which came with the Aqua T-50 bag (these straps were adequate still)

Under seat exhausts are a nightmare though as have to make sure that the straps are nowhere near the exhaust.

Will definitely visit the lake district but I really am in love with the Scottish highlands.

I have a Wales trip coming up very soon but this is just a quick weekend trip where im literally going just to walk up mount Snowdon, starting the walk up at between 4 and 5am so I can avoid all the heavy traffic and get some good videos and pictures

Great photos, i went up there 2 weeks ago.

I went past Glenshee ski centre... what a nightmare!!!
Cyclists as far as the eye could see, there was some event going on for Lycra wearing super heroes

I went through the cairngorms for the views and winding road, the pedalling bastids ruined it lol

I only had one bad weather day... raining sideways in the wind :/
i stayed at Falkirk first night, Portsoy second and third night and at Bellingham on the way back 4th night.

as you can see i diverted to see the forth bridge Smile

The tank bag is one i got from Aldi years ago, was good on my old bike as its magnetic, not so great on the GS and its plastic tank lol
good job i didnt throw the straps away! knew i kept them for a reason.

the roll top bag is from Lomo
I have 3 of them in different sizes, brilliant bags.
keeps my tent, sleeping bag, pillow and mat in

just need to master getting on and off without kicking the crap out of it Very Happy
