I like it. I wouldn't want to ride it, but I like it.

Tank looks like Bantam, engine looks like Honda.

May I also suggest a sprocket cover. Sir wouldn't want to catch his best bell-bottoms in there - the consequences could be eye-watering.
I can envisage one fashioned from a milk container.

With a little more effort you could have gone full Mad Max with the pins on the trailer wheels

I see you got the gearing sorted out then.

How does it handle with a hardtail and trailer? I'm guessing the hitch is attached to the swingarm? Should steady things up a lot with the centre of push/pull going right through the rear wheel spindle but I'd guess you'd get a lot of bounce under braking?

After trying various gearbox configurations I'm happy with the Honda CDU250 gearbox.

The trailer hitch is attached all over the place and makes up part of the rear frame but basically yes the load goes through the rear wheel spindle and works fine whether it's this trailer or the monowheel version I've got. Both trailers are designed to use the same size box, it's just that the two wheel trailer is better suited for heavier loads. Doesn't dive you into corners like the one wheel trailer does.

No suspension on the trailer but the tyres are about half full of water and slightly low pressure which makes for a dead blow hammer effect when going over bumps which greatly helps. Things like big potholes at speed will still see the wheels bounce off the ground but the dead blow effect means it immediately settles down again so you don't get any skipping or extended bouncing after the initial impact. It just goes LUMP and it's done. Once you get used to it it's really pretty good going without any surprises.
