Yes that is some mark-up.... 495 is pretty much my entire TT budget.

275 for the crossing, 100 to sleep on a camp-bed for 3 nights
and some left over for 'sustenance'

Just stick 3 crates of Stella on the back seat of the bike.

FFS, it's only the IOM TT. It's not like The BCF BBQ. Rolling Eyes

My mate's dad died last week. I have been helping him excavate his Dad's garden shed for a lost motorbike (some late 70s 125). I say excavate because not only has the roof collapsed but all the biodegradable stuff inside has formed an internal compost heap which needs use of a shovel to move.

What's this got to do with the TT. We knew we were halfway to the bike when my mate found his Krauser panniers which used to get damaged every year when his bike fell over on the ferry there in the late 70s and he would put a claim in and they would cough up and then he would just use them damaged anyway.

You might as well go to a cycling forum and ask "How many of you cyclists are visiting the Alps to see the Tour de France next year?"

EDIT: oh, it's a sneaky way to advertise your hotel. You already know that demand will be incredibly strong in 2022 and you're going to make that week count, and price accordingly. I get it.

To answer your question though, "no, and not ever." If you don't have golden sands, palm trees and flamingos, I don't shell out on travel.

For 400 quid markup I’d be expecting to not sleep cos of the hookers and lines of coke awaiting me.
