Hello, can anyone recommend a decent battery charger?

Most chargers recommended to me so far require a power mains close to the bike; however my bike is parked in a compound without access to a power mains...

Any suggestions welcome Wink

how about building a water wheel in the gutter and just charge it when it's raining?

If you have no power you have 3 choices, solar, generator or powerpack.

Personally I'd choose a powerpack which I can take home and charge up and use with a decent charger. If you want trickle charge I suppose a solar panel might help. It isn't going to be cheap what ever you do.

Don't you take your bike home at night?

Or if it’s only used occasionally, spend all of 3 mins taking the battery out and taking it home with you.

Seems the only course of action to me.

We used to keep the batteries charged on the boats down the harbour with these, much bigger batteries on the boats but they did the job.

I’ve got a spare battery in the form of a Halfords jump starter including an inverter, and I have an off-site, unpowered/unlit garage. I can plug in a charger to top up the bike battery in-situ. I then take the jump starter back to the house to recharge. Both bikes have a charging lead. It saves faffing around unbolting stuff and removing the bike battery.

I'd go with the waterwheel theory.
