Are you 100% sure that "senior consort" didn't just whack you 'round the gob for ruining good food in your wine fog???

Last nosey b@st#ard that enquired about Mrs Butlers absence from t'pub was met with the reply "I don't like her coming out while the bruises are still showing".

I decided to roast a squash, cos the senior consort gave me a couple of them, and I was too lazy to open a can of red salmon.

But then I got engrossed in the NHS job and forgot about them, until I could smell that something in an oven somewhere was cooking. Oh! That would be the squashes I put on about three hours ago.

Luckily they were salvageable, just a bit of a leathery top layer, but which was easily improved with a LARGE knob of butter in each half and then a massive dollop of cream cheese on top of that.

Scoffed my way through them, but something has now given me a swollen lip. I wonder if I am allergic to squash, butter, cream cheese or just Things That You Eat Straight Out of The Oven and Burn Your Mouth On.

I read that in a Nigella Lawson voice and now I need to go to the toilet Rolling Eyes

I’m feeling a subtle expectation to attend the ‘Inclusion and Diversity’ training at work. At the moment it’s voluntary so it’s one of several meeting/training opportunities I’m able to decline, some of which I’d actually be vaguely interested in if I didn’t have work to do.

I suspect the unconscious bias assumes a straight, white, old man must be a racist, homophobe and misogynist. I resent that. Hand

Maybe there’s a course they can go on.

I might've mentioned to my line manager that I felt like I was being micromanaged Shifty

Thing is: that's exactly what I've actually been in need of lately.
I've not been doing a lot of sock pulling-up.
Been diligent, and engaging with the other staff and the patients and all that stuff, doing my bit etc.
And slowly putting my office-life back in the order it belongs.

But it was difficult to connect the dots.
And kids might die, yanno.
Rolling Eyes

There's people would pay a lot of money to be gently bossed around by an attractive Eurasian woman in her early thirties.
I get it for free.

Strangely enough, its doing me some good, even though I resent it Laughing

Oh fuck me Brick Wall
The old Irish poof down the end of the road has been accumulating fag hags lately, they all seem to have come out of the new nail bar at the end of the street, and they're having a bit of a front garden party and a singsong.
I can't wait for it to get colder so they will all fuck off back indoors.

Nightmare.
There are dreadful neighbours at both ends of the street now, and they're all that sort who spend all day sitting out in their front "garden" , of which our street is a treeless urban wasteland kind of thing.

So you can't fucking-well creep out one end without being accosted by one or other of them Rolling Eyes

Don't get me wrong, I like the Irish and poofs, and even nail bar ladies have their uses, so individually as a people they are fine - but in a combination with a personality disorder that feels like you would rather be scrubbing your sunburn with a scouring pad, its just not my cup of tea at all.

And the other end ... complete chavs, dodgy geezers that all go "Oiiiii! and "Awright luv?" .. oh well, I suppose they're proper East End types, but jesus, they're a chirpy bunch.

Is it anything like the speed awareness course where if you even dare to think the lecturer is spouting crap the thought police appear with electric batons to 're-educate' you. (or in reality talk to you like you're a simpleton who can't see their benevolence in them talking down to you).'
