Much as the media love banging on about it the threat of Covid seems to receded to almost nothingness for most of the people I know - maybe as important as winter flu, less if anything Thinking

Okay, so the wife still does her lateral flow before visiting Nonna in the care home but the carers have ceased checking for a negative result. Other than that I hear of "nutters paranoid about social distancing and infection" third-hand only.

Everyone who wanted the poke got it and therefore care little for the anti-vaxxers.

Flu jab for me tomorrow. Dance! or maybe not. Laughing

It's like being back in the merch. A jab for this, a jab for that. Bend over Sir, you do need that one in your arse. Embarassed

Oh well, jab and down the boat and off for the weekend as wifie is off for a week end stand up pladdleboarding with her other weird friends. Happily not on the same water I will be going on as newspaper headlines saying 'husband runs over wife in canal boat' would give the wrong impression. Whistle

Plenty of rum involved for sterilising the jab from the inside. Now that's worth a dance. Dance! Wasted

I understand the thing to do is to post a video on social media making lots of urgh! noises and demanding another lockdown.

Click on the previous page number rather than the last page or 'last post'. Eg: Page 2 if it's a 3 page thread.

I had both the jabs and the booster, how many are you meant to have?

What's the consensus these days? Is it still the blood type A and AB in combination with vitamin D deficiency and obesity equals the worst possible outcome?

I think you're just meant to keep having more until the pharma companies have ALL the money.
Do you have any underlying vulnerabilities?

Buck up. Maybe he'll keel over from a severe case of self pity.

Not that I'm aware of.
Maybe I'd be dead by now if I hadn't had the jabs, who knows.
After waking up at five to six this morning coughing and spluttering followed by a couple of bouts of vomiting, with a temperature of 37.6, I certainly feel lucky. Rolling Eyes

Or maybe if you hadn't had them, you'd have developed a fuller immunity and not had any symptoms at all, who knows?
Never mind, flu can kill too Smile

Wasn't it 6 month...4 month...10 week protection anyway?

I think they did try and get people to go for a 4th shot, Israel got it but I guess with the death rate from Omicron being low they didn't bother.

The JackButler fictional character, whoever that was, was a quite clever invention, I thought. There are people who have 36+ bikes, and they're usually retired businessmen. Plus whatever stories they share have to be framed in the world of the 70s or 80s, to make sense. I mean, of course that whole backstory wasn't true. But it's clearly based on a type of bike enthusiast which actually exists. So, I think, whoever conjured up that one has obviously been around bike enthusiasts for quite a while. That said, a lot of what he wrote was absolute bollocks, and betrayed a bit of genuine underlying derision. The veil slipped a few times. That part where he said we're all hostile submissives, or something... That was weird. The actor behind that character had a grudge. Everyone here is loose and flakey (myself included). I could see how that might annoy one of those types you see at bike events.

There was a guy on the motorbike show who had 40 odd CBXs (I think he said 47).

I had 5 bikes if you include a LT50 at the height of my narcissism. Can't see the point of inventing a fictional 'twat' though...
