Hey, recently a fault code has started to appear whenever I start the bike. First, all my lights flash, and this is then followed up by the message “rear2” which is shown on the speedometer. I have checked the service manual but it was of little help. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Best guess is a bulb out? Try checking lights/brakes lights function first.
