Copied from another thread, but I thought it might be relevant here?

Yer yer , I know I’m behind the times Crying or Very sad

However enlighten me please?
I was wandering around YouTube and found this,
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BMUqyYd4ax4

I thought that CFmoto were manufactures/importers of little Chinese 125’s with a few single 400cc’s ??

Are Chinese built bikes about to start appearing on racing grids?
Are we witnessing history repeating itself? ie how the Japanese started off in the sixties?

Or is this just someone going off on a tangent?

They make an ER6-y type thing that Gary Johnson is using for the TT. He builds bikes and has made some for people for club racing in order to prove how good the bikes are.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Now there’s the question!
Are they any good?
Will they start to challenge the status quo?

After all many people in the sixties said how shit Japanese bikes were and were made to eat their words?

Or is this a false trail: ie the Chinese couldn’t care less about quality or racing prestige?

From what I’ve seen in the street/roads, Chinese machines are getting better.
Will they become a challenge on the racetrack?

They are competitive, put it that way. Chris from 44 Teeth races one in the No Limits racing thing, and has had a number of podiums.
