He nearly died and ended up with blood clots in his arms when he finally got out of hospital.

There’s an unrealistic expectation that the treatment comes with zero risk or side effects too.

I find it ironic when people say drugs are just a means to keep you dependent without a cure, but when the future offers one-off gene therapies to fix the errors their own body is making that’s objectionable also. Just be ill then.
