I think that guy has gone far too over the top with the Tesla praise. I think he might need to dial it back a little...

They are the modern day sort of smug well off bastards who bought Priuses back when green was just rearing it's head. Nothing changes. Laughing

I'm in the process of looking for a 120hp 2.0 petrol car that somehow qualifies for £30 a year road tax.
Will be off for a remap quicker than you can say 55 extra ponies whilst retaining the £30 a year road tax bill and low
insurance bracket. Bo11ocks to them and their eco shite. Middle Finger Very Happy Middle Finger

There's a well known work around for that annoying tesla problem

it involves rubber gloves ( cos fingerprints)
a can of petrol and a box of matches

Sort of still on topic. Does this make any sense to anyone in the economic/buisness world. The way I read it is Tesla cannot survive.

Tesla’s dirty little secret: Its net profit doesn’t come from selling cars

It’s the Sentry Mode causing the flashing lights. I’ve switched it off home as cats wandering about at night cause it (I had 38 incidents one night) and it drains the battery.

It’s useful elsewhere e.g. if someone bumps into the car in a car park it’s all captured by the cameras (front, rear and both sides) Thumbs Up

..interesting but most of these tech companies are valued for the future - same as Uber. Like it says they'll be overtaken by VW GM etc.. but likely they'll survive as a luxury brand...

More interesting to me is full life-cycle C02 emmission (inc. building teh thing and mining the materials etc.. ) EV - 18 tons, ICE -24 tons..

I overtook one this morning in a 60 (rural b-road) - perfectly safely. Didn't have to brake to pull back in, or anything like that. Just me and him on the road. I didn't exceed 60 to get passed him. It was pretty much a textbook manoeuvre.

Straight away he was flashing me, picked up speed from his 50mph to 60 to tailgate me, then - on a straight section coming into a small town's 30 limit, he accelerated passed me, had to pull back in between me and the car in front, and brake harshly for the 30. He then did about 40 passed a busy school (this 9:00am).

I had got his dander up, totally inadvertently. Fvcking tree hugging clown took severe umbrage to being overtaken legally and safely by a 15 year old diseasle toyota. Laughing

You had the distinct advantage.. There's not many that will mess with anything as sturdy and yet (likely) low value as a 15 yr Toyota.

It would be a shame if somebody with an air horn stood outside your neighbour's bedroom windows blowing the horn every time the car lights flashed.

I was filtering on the M74 heading into Glasgow City Centre this morning and some guy in a Subaru Impreza got mad angry that I filtered passed him as he was stuck and he started blasting his horn and revving the tits off the motor. Fucking pointless as I was out of sight from him maybe 15 seconds later at most as I kept filtering.

Just like the guy in the Tesla with you some people just have a mental problem where they can't stand someone taking over them or getting ahead of them. Fragile cunts.

I particularly enjoy (and am annoyed by) middle-lane hoggers becoming offended at an 'overtake' on their left (ie. lane-1). Many accelerate to 70-ish until blocked by another middle-lane hogger...

I sometimes enjoy passing them in an anti-clockwise fashion three or four times, to emphasise the point. They're in lane two, I'm in one. They pass me and stay in lane two. I move out to lane two and close in until within slightly under two seconds, when I overtake in lane three. I then pull back into lane two, and back to lane one. I then slow down slightly until they begin to pass me. And once they have, the process begins again. It's good fun. I'm not saying it makes any impression on their failure to understand the very most basic tenets of motorway driving, and in fact, they probably don't even notice what's going on. But still - fun!

I sometimes enjoy passing them in a clockwise fashion three or four times, to emphasise the point. They're in lane two, I'm in one. They pass me and stay in lane two. I move out to lane two and close in until within slightly under two seconds, when I overtake in lane three. I then pull back into lane two, and back to lane one. I like to time my pass in lane 1 to coincide with someone in lane 3 doing the same thing. That way they get the idea that they are in the wrong lane when they get a woosh in both ears. I'd say in about 25% of cases they move over into lane 1 soon after, probably just numb, monged out and bored rather than deliberately sitting there.
