I've an e60 so if I know I'm going to rough it somewhere I will be able to fit shit in the boot or on the front seats when the bed is out
And if that's not enough, a roof box to put all the shit on top is 400 squids, opposed to the 2.5k tentpal |

Yeah if you've only got a bit of stuff then a roof box is an easy answer but if you've got a reasonable amount of stuff in the car then the chances of being able to fit it all into a roof box is approximately zero.
I'm not saying that a roof tent is the solution, I'm just pointing out that those inflatable mattresses that go in the back of cars are all well and good unless you've got stuff in your car.
An inexpensive tent is the solution. |
