I agree - He's still spunking money faster than the Labour Party can do, at a time where national debt is eye watering. This Tory Party, as I've said, is further left than Blair's Labour and further green than Brighton's bin collection scheme.

I've more faith in Sunak as chancellor than I have in any other person in the cabinet. Also for that matter that anyone else I remember as chancellor.

Is that good? Not sure as you don't have to be very good to be better than shit.

Is it a good budget? Well, it's better for us plebs than I thought it would be and I'm presuming he has done his sums and it isn't going to bankrupt the country.

As said in the posts above, it's not what I would expect from a Conservative party and it does beg the question where do labour (or especially the LibDems) go from here,

"The Budget was pure, perfect socialism. Increased government spending of your money by having the highest tax rates for 70 years. Government spending is now the highest since the 1970s. Growth forecasts over the medium term are the lowest for 60 years.

The forecast growth numbers for next year already look way too optimistic. Rishi Sunak seems punch drunk on spraying your cash around in wasteful ways via civil servants, rather than let you spend it better yourself.

This is Consocialism. I don’t believe that is what the country voted for at the last general election. "
