Today I did buy a Drenham Acolyte 17’ carbon rod, and a ABU 507 closed faced reel to go with it.
Oooi! What a bit of kit Smile .
Lot’s of fkin money Crying or Very sad and my savings took a whack!

However, happy Pepperami is happy Very Happy , in fact , VERY happy Thumbs Up .

As long as it doesn’t rain to hard, I’m going out to try it out tomorrow.

EDIT: I took them out for a trial today (16th).
They worked really well Smile .
Caught half a dozen small fish and a 3-1/2 pound bream Thumbs Up
A hard day made a little bit easier by what I bought Thumbs Up

oven element and a couple of genuine smeg bolts so I don't have to worry about getting ones that fit properly and thus not being able to use the oven because element /wires hanging down.

Lovely. If that was mine with the fasmily connections I would get it professionally restored as well. Service, clean and new crystal. It's worth every penny. I have a few Incabloc movement watches, nice gear.

It's just come back from a full strip and service, new main spring and good uses acrylic glass.

I don't want it looking like new!

It's a very fine o-ring and it has split. I know that's fixable and a hair-dryer would sort the mist but the luminescence has gone and changing the battery every 18 months got old.

I forgot I made an Asda order.
So now my fridge is full of bacon, cheese and full fat yoghurt, yay.
Oh yeah, and some veg, etc.

Plus, I bought some assorted wax melts, so now my house smells like a gingerbread house, sweet like candy Whistle So now I'll just sit back til it attracts some greedy boy, who I can catch, and fatten him up to eat for Christmas.

Start looking for extended storage now. Don't say I didn't warn you. Just added an additional 2TB Seagate HDD to
mine as a plug in peripheral to hold onto all the PS4 game data, moving files across from PS5 to HDD as we speak.
Instantly freed up 220gb on the PS5 and I'm not a big time gamer by any means, my only real gripe with PS5 is
how little onboard memory it has. Am on the lookout for a 2TB+ SSD for the expansion slot, hoping Black Friday
will yield a discount on one of those because with the necessary heatsink I'll not see much change out of 200 quid at
current pricing. There's a link for the Seagate HDD I bought a page or two back in the thread, under £60 in Amazon
for an extra 2TB of storage on an officially licenced peripheral with a 3 year guarantee is a good price IMO.
Also the controllers use a LOT of juice and need a recharge a lot sooner than PS4 controllers. I have the official
Sony Charger dock and a second pad to compensate for this. I've seen a PS5 controller to go from full charge to flat in
3 hours of sustained gameplay.

Also bought a pair of white Crocs. Amazon £19.99

A first-aid kit for keeping on the bike. I doubt I'll need it personally but almost all the bikers I know are unlucky feckers Wink

If you've worn her knees out that badly, then you must have had some good times. Wink

Two ton* of hardcore, £68.

There's been a load of used patio flags strewn all over for about six months, now I'm done procrastinating, and have smashed out a concrete path and am now getting ready to lay the patio (aka bike turning area).

*2×1 "ton" bags, so about 1,500 kg.

Audio cables.

My preferred brand Proel have become difficult to source. They're nothing special. *Audio cable talk is not only highly contentious but extremely boring.

I don't have the time to make up all my own (saying that I have made guitar cables...and Jack-RCA...(told you it was boring)).

PD Connex 3.5mm stereo-Twin 6.5mm mono.

Like them. Plenty of girth, protection at the point where they often fail and tough casing. They fit well too.

I also bought a digital Mellotron with the proceeds from selling my soul....plus a few bits n bobs.
