Well, I haven't been not riding for long.
My last real bike was a 52 plate CB500 I rode in 2018. (I don't count the Address 110cc).
My first real bike was a R1150GS in my early twenties, first bike I got after getting my A2 licence and sticking a 47bhp restrictor kit on it before it unfortently falling off after a few weeks.
I really loved my R1150GS but I got it into my head that a sports bike would be more fun. I did enjoy my CBR 600RR but I just knew I was not going to keep my licence if I kept my bike. It wanted to be driven at high rpm. I also missed my R1150GS. It was a big heavy lump and built like an ugly tank but I loved it.
Then I got a CB500 for £600 which predictably turned into a money pit and not the most reliable bike. Sold that after a few months. Then I got a brand new Suzuki Address 110cc as a cheap reliable commute as I knew it could do 100mpg.
That year was a miserable one. It is not a fun bike to do a 50 mile motorway commute but the finances required it.
So, my bike journey kind of went in reverse I started off with a big ass bike and have slowly regressed to basically a ped.
But now I am back riding a proper bike. R1200GS which was my dream bike when I first started riding. (I got an R1150GS at the time because the R1200GS was too powerful to ride on an A2 licence).
I know the GS riders get a little shit but fuck it I love them lol. It may be an old mans bike but I like them.
It's a 2007 plate so no servo brakes and it has done about 27k miles.
Included a video of it.

My own real concern now is making sure it does not get stolen But I am happy with it and because of the new rules coming in 2030 in regards to petrol vehicles I doubt I will get another petrol bike again.
Oh and I also have a 1999 Toyota Corolla that I need to fuck off. 105K miles shitty paint work but reliable with a new clutch. Paid £800 for it. Doubt I will get that back on it. Checked webuyanycar and they offered me £150 lol.
Also this forum is awesome. Really helped with advice back in the day when I first started out on motorcycles.
I know this thread does not have much of a point but ah well ____________________ Bikes: Previous Bikes: Piaggio x8 125: 2012/2013, YBR 125: 2013/2013 BMW R1150GS 2013/2017, Honda CBR600RR 2017/2017, Honda CB500 2018/2018, Suzuiki Address 110cc 2019/2020, BMW R1200GS 2021-2023
