I've tried a couple 2000s twins and found them vibey and "meh". The speedometer did increase, but it just didn't feel the same?
I've yet to try the famous twin yamaha have been sticking in everything the last couple years though.
To me makes sense that medium sized bikes have twins and triples instead of L4s tbh, be it the R7, naked or a tourer. The high up and narrow powerband of low cc l4s just isn't a good all rounder or money maker.
Big bore L4's is where the fun's at tho ____________________

CB1100 was about 1,400,000yen while Hawk1100 will be sold at about 1,100,000-1,300,000yen according to scoop article so it'll be cheaper than CB1100. And it'll be sold after NT1100, around next autumn. (to cope with Euro6 in 2024 ?)
Triumph T120/speed master looks far attractive but they are expensive(1,700,000 to 1,800,000yen) here, so who can't afford them maybe go for this bike. ____________________ 2020 Touring Serow 250
