Compulsory vaccination for all public servants, NHS, police, government, MPs? Exceptions for proven health reasons only.

Been a dick is not proven health reason.
I just got my booster. Laughing

I'd rather have such a decision based on risk assessment. Not of risk of them contracting it but the risk of them giving it to others and the consequences of that happening.

Frankly, I see no more reason for an MP to be required to be vaccinated than an office worker in an accountancy firm.

I do see a reason for a frontline NHS worker to be vaccinated as a matter of course. In the same way a medic putting their hands in other peoples body cavities has to be vaccinated against hep B (and blood tested to check that vaccine has worked). Even more of a reason for a care home worker working with elderly or other high risk groups.

I just had my booster too. Feels like a horsefly bit my arm.

I was waiting ages compared to last time, over 2 hours. Turns out this is because they had the person giving the vaccine also entering all the details on the computer database which is fucking stupid. Anyone could be doing that and could have had it done long before the point fo giving the vaccine (like in the two hours I was sat in a hall twiddling my thumbs). The person on the sharp end (pun intended) should just be jabbing people. Previous time, all the data was pre-entered and they were vaccinating in teams of two. One asking questions and one giving the jab. the whole process took less than 5 minutes then a 15 minute wait in the carpark.

NHS staff it should be compulsory.

Cops, MPs it should be optional.

I've not had a booster, not due one for months, assuming they even bother. I've heard the new chip has 5G Wink

Anybody that wants to compromise their own imune system with untested gene therapies is welcome to. But don't tell me what to stick in my body.

I applaud anyone that leaves any profession that tries to mandate it.

You're safer without it.

I'm not sure you understand what mRNA vaccines are or how they work.

And the professions that have mandated it are probably safer without those people. So it's a win-win really.

But you do still mean frontline NHS staff stinkwheel? I'm on board with that much.
Sometimes these political conversations descend into too much ambiguity for me Laughing

Google says front line staff means:

Doctors
Nurses
Midwives
Paramedics
Pharmacists
Social workers
Care workers

It's not unreasonable that front line workers should be vaccinated against diseases that vaccines exist for and the covid vaccine isn't the first or the only vaccine front line medical staff are required to have.

He read it on Facebook. I mean it is peer reviewed in a sense, albeit the sense that his peers are as badly informed as he is. But in all fairness, nobody ever said the peers had to be well informed Laughing

So the vaccinations are now of a sexual nature? I did wonder why there was such a long queue, and why the people leaving looked so... satisfied Laughing

The way things are going the thread should be re-titled "Compulsory Euthanasia for the Unvaccinated?"

All of this is just a slight overreaction?

Not so sure of that. If covid becomes a really bad financial and health burden with these new strains I reckon compulsory jabs could be round the corner.

I would absolutly love to see the melt down from the 'we have rights' mob, absolutly love it (tm K, Keegan) Laughing
