So having got the bike late in the year I haven't had time to get all the bits and bobs I'd like for it, plus I've had to work on other stuff.
Things I still want on it are:

1. Heated handle grips.
2. Pannier and top box set (need enough capacity for the whole camping caboodle).
3. Additional front and rear lights.
4. Crash Bars to fit the additional lights on.
5. Satnag.

That'll make me feel better and ready for my longer trips.

I couldn't live without heated grips these days but it's a half hour job for me.

Get some handguards as well, heated grips work better with a bit of extra wind protection.

Satnag so your wife will always know where you are and where you have been when you are out on your bike. Wink

Same. A previous owner put Oxford ones on the Kwak and it was amazing how good they worked. I think I need to re-cement them though because they move around on top of the original grips if you turn the heat up past 50%.

Can't go back now, felt great through my summer gloves, now I am wearing winter gloves it takes a long time for the heat to be felt through the glove. So I am thinking of getting hand guards on the bike for wind protection and getting the thickest pair of summer gloves I can and seeing if they heat up quicker.

My journeys are quite short on the commute - only about 30 minutes so the winter gloves are a bit of a hinderance now.

Heated grips combined with handguards FTW. Have this combo on the Crossrunner and can ride in sub-zero temps with summer gloves on. Otherwise, heated gloves. Heated grips with no hand protection means cold knuckles and thumbs.

Good point, This sounds like a good idea, and gives the flexibility of thinner gloves. I was out in 3 degrees the other day and the winter gloves just don't quite do it. So orders a set of muffs, and will fit heated grips over the xmas break.

Thank you (and others) for the heads up.
