New guy here, bought an 86 KDX 200 in buckets and made a project of it with my son. Got it all back together and running thanks to sites like this and folks like you! One part I can find nothing out about is around the kips valve on the case by the right leg. There is a small screw that goes into the kips shaft area. Exploded views show there is a pin under it. I have a Clymer repair manual but it says nothing about this tiny screw. Can anyone help me on this?1 should it be tightened in? Is there some adjustment for it1? Thank you in advance. The part number is 92043a and screw 220 in the attached schematic.

Your exploded view doesn't seem to show the kips valve....

Looks like it is purely there to hold the shaft in position, i.e. the pin looks like it will probably engage with a slot in the shaft ... so just put the pin in and tighten the screw up Smile

I agree with BanditsHigh
The pin stops the shaft from coming out - it will engage in a the groove. The screw is just to stop the falling out., it's not adjustable .

You might have to wiggle the shaft up and down a bit to get the pin to drop in the groove .
