I suggest you get rid of it if you can.
You were just now considering paying 100 quid for a new set of locks. You would also need other things, at a glance side panels, and normal servicing costs at least. This doesn't make economic sense.
If you're having trouble flogging it, bear in mind you could get 60 quid for that exhaust on Ebay, same for the clocks, you can look up how much the tank, wheels and other parts are going for, and price them all for a quick sale to get your £275 back.
Something I heard about these "MC salvage" type Ebay auctions - the people buying these are eastern European exporters who buy anything that turns up there, very often at inflated prices, take them abroad, break them or put them back on the road, etc. In other words businesses buying their stock up to a limit of what they can load into the truck, rather than hobbyists looking for projects. Don't know how true that is, but it seems to make sense, considering how much these wrecks go for when the hammer goes down at auction. |

You can dismantle most motorcycle locks and rearrange the wards to take the key of your choice.
You could buy a new ignition lock and re-jig the tank cap to take the new one.
There are several howtos out there on the internet.
The big problem you're going to have is getting the tank open...
A good locksmith can make you a key to fit the lock.

Some of these are aftermarket non essential, I am now thinking about just spending the bare minimum to pass an mot.
then use it for a year, sell my current bike cbr f4i 2001, It has 52000 miles needs some tlc has mot till may 2020

I came into this thread and when I seen his pictures I was thinking he should part it out too. However, what you said about mass-selling into Europe is what I found when my Jaguar XF was written off.
A guy from Copart came to collect my car to take it back for them to assess the damage/ loss and I was just asking the driver if he thought it was going to be written off and he just laughed and said he knew from one look at it that it was a write-off and he's seen a Range Rover that was written off over mud flaps. He then said that it will probably get bought up and sent off to either Poland or Romania as buyers form there always buy up all the old Jaguars, BMWs, Mercedes and Audis for breaking.
I watched the auction of my Jaguar on the Copart website and it auctioned off way over the value they gave me as a total loss pay-out. I don't mind though the EGR valves and DPF were on their way out and the nice Asian lady who decided to ram me did me a favour in saving me from that future bill 
Also when I was looking for used parts on ebay for my ER-6F I noticed that a fair percentage of the sellers were in Poland. It wasn't until I got onto the forum that I realised breaking was such big business.
